Reeves Carter is a native Texan and a true outdoorsman. since a very young age Reeves has enjoyed numerous outdoor related activities. Among may outdoor jobs, he has worked as a full-time guide for the famous Port Bay Hunting and Fishing Club in Rockport Texas. Reeves studied forestry and humanities at Stephen, F. Austin State University.

Reeves started fishing Lake Travis in 1985. It was a big change from the East Texas lakes he grew up fishing, He became very interested in Lake Travis and it's awesome structure fishing. He gave up the hydrilla for the rocks, moved to the hill country and formed Scales Guide Service.

Reeves guides exclusively on Lake Travis and is truly devoted to the fishery. He is a versatile angler and a structure fishing expert.

Reeves is friendly and easy to talk to. His main goals as a guide are to provide a safe, fun, and friendly atmosphere for his clients and to insure as much action as possible. He has an excellent record for providing good numbers of fish. He has many satisfied clients and some that book trips with him seven times a year.
